Vodafone NZ Foundation will help Frank Bunce make a World of Difference for young people in Manukau.
Former All Black and Manukau Community Foundation Trustee Frank Bunce will be supported through 2008 at the Manukau Community Foundation to help donors connect with youth development programmes that really make a difference in the lives of the young people they serve.
With funding provided by the Vodafone NZ Foundation, Frank will help to place the funding needs of the myriad of youth programmes in front of donors and help build donations into the Youth Fund for Manukau.
CEO Janis McArdle says the Foundation is delighted that Frank will be funded to do this work.
"It will really give a great boost to our fund raising efforts and I'm sure donors will want to hear from Frank about those programmes and projects that are making a difference", she says.
And for Frank - he says its great to be able to work with young people again and to work on their behalf to get them the resources to reach their full potential.
" I get so disapointed when I see young people going off the rails, doing dumb or dangerous things, or even just missing out. It doesn't have to be that way," he says.
As part of his role which starts in Februaruy 2008 Frank will be visiting as many youth programmes as he can around the city and helping the Manukau Community Foundation to 'map out' the youth development landscape.
