This month we are staging our biennial Quilt Exhibition in the Orewa Community Hall on 20th /21st August open at 10am till 4pm on each day. Entrance fee is $4-00 and we provide a cafe with delicious home baking. We expect to showcase around 200 quilts, of a wide range of facets.
We make Community Quilts - as we call them - with donated fabric and time as a means of advancing member's skill bases - to then donate them to needy and worthwhile causes.
It was wonderful to receive the message of thanks from Beryl Dineen via your organization, GrownUps, and it gives me pleasure to attach a photo of Cheryl King of our club who made Beryl's quilt. We also had a postal thank you from the E tipu e Rea Early Learning Centre in Aranui Christchurch. These messages of thanks are very gratifying.
