Dress for Success Celebrity Waiters Dinner 2009

Dress for Success is a charity that helps women in need to get jobs and keep working by providing clothes, shoes, bags and advice to boost their self-esteem and independence. Every $125 raised helps Dress for Success support another Auckland woman back into work, and just as importantly helps make a positive difference to her family and community.

To help more women we are hosting our must attend Celebrity Waiters Dinner. With the support from our celebrity waiters advisory team, Tina Cross, Jennifer Ward Lealand and Kay Gregory the event is sure to be a great success. There will be entertainment from the Lady Killers, surprise celebrity performances, your own celebrity waiter at your table, and one of a kind auction items.

Team of Auckland Home and Décor specialists joined forces to support Dress for Success

At the inaugural Celebrity Waiters Dinner in 2008 a team of well known Auckland home and décor industry specialists joined forces to sponsor a bathroom renovation package worth $30,000.

The team, with oversight from Auckland based interior designer, Donna White of Donna White Interior Design worked their magic and transformed the winning bidders ensuite.

Donna White says “We wanted to give back to our community and when the opportunity arose to be involved in this project, we seized it. What better way than this to be able to put our skills towards a cause that gives disadvantaged women a ‘hand up’. Being women ourselves, we understand how important it is to support each other. The suppliers that we approached quickly grasped what we were trying to achieve and came on board. The money that our team raised for Dress for Success allows more clothes and accessories to be provided, to help make women feel confident; and enables Dress for Success to continue to help make a positive change to more women and their families.”
