I think a lot of it has to do with fashion and 'keeping up with the Jones's ' .
The trend now seems to be towards those 'people-mover' vans like the Honda Oddessy. They too are just great at causing problems in carparks.

Am I imagining it, or are there fewer Merivale and Remuera Tractors on the road now. I hated it after finishing my shopping to find one on each side of my vintage Suzuki Swift which meant I could not see to back out of my park ing space and fearful of a collision.
