my unwell bi-polar husband left me and his toddler....rang us up after a few days to inform us he's not coming back.

the matrimonial home was bought entirely with my money, which i can prove, and the mortgage repayments and most of the bills were always paid for by me.he paid the insurance and bought the food.

he left us in the country (not even footpaths or a shop) in the family car with my toddlers carseat 4 days before xmas with all the xmas money. i am physically disabled.he telephoned me last night saying he will financially ruin me and force me to sell the house and give him half the proceeds.

does anyone know what rights i have?

although he is desperately ill he will not seek help....i have tried to get the mental health crisis team and the police involved to no avail. he has to hurt me first i think...which he may well do.

Hi Ed, I suggest you try to find a Womens' Crisis Centre in your area, they will be able to put you onto a Citizens Advice Lawyer to give you the advice you need.
Sorry, can't help further

If you ring 0800367222 they wil lput you in touch with your nearest CAB as I think the Taumaranui branch has closed down and you might be quite a distance from a CAB
