Nothing is lurking behind my closed door
No sorry secrets hide there any more,
Tossed all my hopes and dreams out in the light
All those unspoken things hidden from sight
With great bravado some courage I found
Wrote a few words very simple but sound
Just a few simple words clear and concise
Boosted by all the support and advice
Looked at it over and over again
Deleted this then inserted again
Finally satisfied with the result
Look as I might I could not find a fault
My simple message was ready to go
Whatever happened I needed to know
No time for any more doubts or for fears
Click! and my sad little note disappears
In a short while answer comes back to me
Opened it slow and app-re-hen-siv-ely
Read quite a few times the words that were there
Knew that they’d been truly written with care
All that was shared no-one else needs to know
And I’m not sorry my note I let go
All that I know as I close down my poem
My long lonely secret has now found its’ home
