RAIN
The rain hits the road forming rows of water soliders
As in days of old, earth's blood -knights, so bold
Like a human flood .
Marching to Nature's beat.
The rain soldiers hit the tarseal in a continuous wave
The fallen disolve, their souls gushing to a watery grave
but still they come.
Marching to Nature's beat.
...
CAMEO
She would be remembered for all time
Her silloutte there for everyone to see
Trapped there forever by her outline but
Did anyone know her when she was free?
The frame does not show the fiery hair
Wild- wind- tossed high in the air
It does not show the moving limb
When in her youth she was so slim
It can't reveal the sparkling eye
That seen once by men,
None could deny
That deep within, a passion grew
Encased now within background of blue.

THE BELL BIRD
It's voice is the sound of an angel's bell,
He sings to his mate, and his mate returns,
The call echoing clearly throughout the forest
Breaking the silence and stillness all around
Amidst the leaves and branches on the trees
Casting fleeting shadows in the sunlight

Making all to stop and search the crown canopy

He hides there in the midst
Flitting, waiting, hoping not to be seen
That coat of his, that khaki green...

because we are few, and far between (patr045)
Soaring above the clouds so high
Whispering breezes , crisp clear scenes
Natures window to earth's soul
Freedom imbibed, fulfilled fantasy

Do I see him, no not I
But hear him yes,our nz bird
So seldom seen

Here is a sampling of some poems that members have written on GUPs, simply by adding a line or verse (whatever takes their fancy)!
