That's a good deal at The Packing Shed Cafe today, on Grab One, isn't it. But if we were all to purchase it, we couldn't all meet there at once, unfortunately. Well, I guess we could, but not at the same table. Only 3 coupons per table. Must say, I'm tempted.

What a pleasant surprise awaited us @ PEGASUSTOWN this morning. 25 Enjoyed a balmy Indian Summers morning walk around the Lakes and Wetlands. Later we all enjoyed a coffee plus @ Flat White. I had a lovely Gourmet Sausage Roll and Salad for $5.00. We,ll be going back.
NEWS ITEM. BRICK MILL CAFE @ Waikuku. is closed The whole property is to be earthquake repaired. They have re-opened @ Woodends GATEWAY HOTEL. which is exactly 24 kms from CHCH. or 6kms past Kaiapoi. Methinks it would be a great Coffee Morning stop soon.?

Good Evening, Yes we are back. We'll see you all on Monday and we will have some stories to tell.
I have just written a long letter to our daughter and thats why I've been a while putting something on the thread. Anyway, instead of typing for another hour, (almost the same thing) I will copy and past that letter so it will give you a a bit of an idea of our last couple of days.

Hi, Yes we are home. Arrived home about 2am. We didn't even unpack. I
just got my toilet bag out my bag so I would have it for morning. Then we
had a quiet cup of tea and went to bed. Mel had been in and put the
heatpump and blanket on so the place and bed were nice and warm. I told
Mum if the phone rings, don't answer it. I got up once to the loo when it
was daylight, then didn't wake and get up till 10 to 11. Mum got up not
long before and was on the phone to Pat. Pat said she had already rung
before that and we didn't answer. So I'm glad Mum didn't hear the phone.
She's got no thought for anyone. Most of the day has been spent unpacking
and washing.
It was a bit of a shock to the system coming off the plane to such a
cold night and rain. After I got up this morning, the sun was shining so I
thought I would go outside and see what the weather was like. It was a
beautiful day and really warm. But it had been a freezing day yesterday and
its going to be another freezing day tomorrow.
First of all, I would like to thank you all for the great time you gave
us. We really did enjoy it. And the two days in Sydney just gave us that
little time together before coming home. We didn't want to spend too much
money so we managed to do things quite cheaply. The day we arrived, we just
wandered around Darling Harbour, went back to the hotel to check in and
have a rest before going out for dinner and seeing DH by night. The next
day we walked to Victoria Building which wasn't too far. Then we hoped on
the free shuttle bus and got off at Circular Quay. Spent a bit of time
there and had some lunch, then got on the free bus again to Hyde Park where
we could walk to Centre Point. I then found it wasn't too far to walk back
to DH. After a while and a coffee we returned to our hotel for a rest and
freshen up before going out for our showboat dinner cruise. It was a nice
warm night. On our last day we went to the Imax, had lunch and watched
the world go by in Darling Harbour. It was a beautiful sunny day an must
have been at least 24 deg. We then sat at a nice outdoor cafe for a coffee
before returning to our hotel and wait for the shuttle for the airport. It
was good to get home, but we didn't feel like leaving that nice sunny
weather behind. We both still have stiff painful legs from all that
walking.
You wanted to know a bit about our hotel. Well it was actually an
apartment. We were on the 9th floor. there must have been another 20
floors above us. It gave me the shivers to step out onto the balcony to
take a photo. There was a large queen b/r with phone, tv and safe. Next
was the bathroom (no bath) but a shower, vanity and loo. There were some
lover doors hiding a washing machine and drier. The lounge and dinning room
were big with phone, 39" tv and desk with internet cable. The kitchen had a
gas stove.microwave and dishwasher. One way you had a good view of traffic
and I don't know how many roads. Another window was another busy road and
across the road was an office building that you couldn't see the top of.
Across the road was a lift and a walkway to DH. Less than 5 mins.
And that's it. Love Mum and Dad.
