Hi One eyed kiwi,
First up you should always save your photos from your camera to the hard drive. (Documents or Pictures folder) Next, PC Dr will not help anything.
I would suspect that maybe your computer has a virus or malware.
What is your anti-virus and have you updated and run it recently?

That was the problem. I couldn't capture the photos from my camera. The camera records the photos straight to a floppy disc. However, the drive came back after another reboot. I think it's because I've used the discs too often without re formatting them to get rid of partial bits and pieces, I run AVG

Your computer should have an Autoplay option that asks you what you want to do with each media device that you put into your computer. What is your operating system? I know it is Windows, but which version?
AVG will have no influence on Autoplay, so we can rule out a virus.
Get back to me.

I have XP. I'm wondering if it's a driver problem. When I reboot, I get a floppy error 40 and no 'A' drive shows up on My Computer. I've been running DriverMax to see if there's a driver upgrade needed but so far only on other stuff.

When you have your camera plugged in, and you double click on "My Computer", what drives do you see and does the camera show there?

Hi oneeyedkiwi,
It would be nice if you replied and told me how things are going with your problem.

I don't know where my floppy drive has gone. I have a camera that takes pictures direct to a floppy disc and when I went to upload some to my pictures folder. I was told that the disc was not formatted. Now the whole drive has completely disappeared. Ant ideas on how to locate it? I've done a restore, locate lost files, PC doctor and a few other troubleshooting things but to no avail.
