Crikey Kai,

I didn't see ya down here and no not a great fan of Cliff....the only one that reallly got us going was 'Move It'....back in those days we were more interested in more of the 'Rock' side of things being budding muso's.

As for Hank Marvin....he's 'Top Hole' love, got most of his stuff on this puter and there are plenty more like him on here too love (over 2000 on here)....you keep that little fella's head down, arse up and practicing.

My old band leader, Maori fella by-the-way, I conned him and his family (pakeha wife and 2 youngins) into going to WA. in 1969 ( think it was, bloody memory) About 20 years ago the family started their own band. Today his g-son is unbelievable on the guitar....needless to say how good his dad and g-father are, I was over there swapping lies with the old leader a couple of years ago and listening to the outfit at a football party....I wish I was 15 again.

Cheers love. biggrin

Well sq we shut our eyes often and think that.

Music sure is a release to lotsa probs that get thrown around and must say Getting married very young us 2 here go back a long way and the music we have shared keeps us both young .

When we were going together Spencer Davis group sung one of our faves , and even now when it comes on we give it the revs LOL

Yeah Hank Marvin knew the Giutar like the back of his hand and woulda loved to see him in Concert.

Heard the rise and fall of flingalbunt the other day.. Where would you get Flingalbunt from has me beat LOL

One of my older siblings loved Cliff Richards and the shadows and of course being the eldest ,,,she was allowed their pics up on the wall.wink..

We were more the Mersey era but love all the music right down to Duane Eddy,,,, and my mate even got Harry Belafonte CD outa the library coupla weeks back for Banana Boat song etc.....

Lovely you went back to see your mate.
Lota water under the bridge hey, when we look back and dwelling on the Happy times then and now, keeps us on an Even keel lollol

Take care

Cheers Kai

Hi everyone, Just came across this discussion, Yes, I did go to the Cliff Richard and the Shadows concert, in Feb, in Akld. Was a great show, thoroughly enjoyed it. The Shadows were all the orginal members, except now looking a little older. Hank Marvin hasnt changed, still got those same styled glasses., and he can still play that guitar. He is in his late 60"s and lives in Gold Coast Australia. A show well worth going to see, Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Smiley, I love listening to Daniel O'Donnell but I can't stand watching him perform.

Same with Cliff Richards. Don't ask me why!

I'm a great fan of both but won't be going to the concert.

Daniel O'Donnell is a very popular entertainer and it's good to know that there's someone out there that still sings the lovely balads. I have a few of his cds. wink

There's another thread in this forum that's been started about concerts.

You obviously enjoy concerts so why not share with us there?
