I was more interested with the one-two man plus business regarding the statistics mob, as from what I saw it was right over the top mate, similar to what you people have been saying re the surveillance thing which I will have a look at.....then of course we have the interaction between Govt depts. There are hundreds of 1-2 man plus business out there Hero, but the bigger ones can look after themselves.

Totally different to when I was contracting. Anything that encroaches on my privacy I totally reject. Realisation hit home about 5 or 6 years ago when we were contemplating a move back to Aussie.

After a tentative inquiry at WINZ re my upcoming 'Super' and a 'possible'
move back to Aussie I received a letter....TOTALLY OUT OF THE BLUE....from 'Centerlink' (Aussie's equivalent of WINZ) about my ANZ bank account here in NZ, knew what was in it and how many accounts was within. How did they find out!!!! from bloody WINZ and without my knowledge or authorisation.

They got you locked down now mate and have had for some time and this was introduced by the Labour Govt fairly early in their last term. Both countries IRD's are in bed together too.

They have indeed but that was supposedly for good purposes, tracking down loan and support defaulters, and identifying benefit fraudsters.
The fact that they are using it for something more than it was intended for is yet another reason this surveillance bill should be stopped.

Tabs, you have no idea at all about Alan Hubbard. He is an honourable man and if he has more than two cents he will share that with outher. When the government first destroyed his business he was put on an allowance and he was giving so much of that away to any othe people who were not getting their interest payments.
