When someone is warned by Admin, why is this so?
There will always be a difference of opinion with members, but how far can this go before Admin steps in? neutral
I ask this as I see one member was warned in one of the threads, and wondered why? neutral

Hi Gaye-belle. Sorry I didn't notice this question here until you mentioned it in the admin thread.

We generally warn people via personal email rather than on the public forum and details of why they were warned are set out in the email. We may make a post in the discussion that someone has been warned just so that everyone has been notified.

We warn users when someone is being particularly offensive towards other members or is posting very inappropriate images etc.

When a user emails us a complaint via the Feedback form, we then begin to look into the matter thoroughly. We look through a previous posts and follow the conversations so we have some background and context.

If it is just a difference of opinion then we leave it up to the members to sort out. We try not to get involved if possible.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks Dave, at the time of writing, I was concerned at how far one could go, if it got to the stage when ignoring a hectoring poster became impossible. wink
