If you have a GUps penfriend and have exchanged emails privately and you get on really well, it is a good idea to exchange mobile phone numbers to be used in an emergency. I feel this is very important if the person in question lives alone. Then if your emails are not being picked up (you can set up a "request received/read" message in the tool bar), you could then contact them by cellphone and make sure they are OK. I did this with someone I met on GUp's because I knew they lived very near to a beach and was worried about them during the last Tsumani warning. razz

I have had the exact same worry threadz and fern. Hoping they may just have had a computer breakdown and cant get it fixed for some reason. Hope they are all ok, maybe we could try and work this brain teaser out together.
Lets see..On sunny days the lift wont go past floor 24 but why?

I think Jim has a 'fair weather' friend on Floor 24, visits her, and the adrenalin rush helps him up the last 24 floors afterwards redfacemrgreenlol

Eureka, I have found the answer to the brain teaser. On wet days he can go to the 48 floor because he can use his umbrella to press the higher number and as he is a very short man, he cannot reach the higher number on sunny days only floor 24. Hope this puts you all out of your misery, but hope hbpencils is ok
