My daughter, son-in-law are looking to do Moscow to Beijing in 2012. Organising it ourselves. We are looking for any advice.
We have opted against the whoe trip used the Tashkent/Bokhara train in May 2010. Can comment on that. But I believe getting visas for some of the 'stans can be problematical.

Anyone travelled this route by train? We are evaluating the Beijing/Moscow package by Sundowners. Looks good, looks demanding. We are pretty seasoned travellers and not easily put off - but it is always helpful to have a first-hand comment or three.
(the other option we are looking at was advertised in GU - the Borneo package.)
