Hi All - baby arrived just after 2pm last saturday. A 9lb 3oz boy. I'm coming up on Thursday until Sunday so if there's anything Friday night I'd love to hear and be able to come. do say hi to everyone at lunch on wednesday for me. We've had some really cold, wet and windy storms here over the last few days so keep warm up there. Cheers - Kereru

Oh, that's great news Kereru, good sized baby! I'm going to Wellington on Wednesday for a couple of days - part one of my lovely husband's big 65 birthday celebrations, so I won't be at lunch on Wednesday, but we will be at the National Services Club in Market St on Friday night for dinner (and maybe a sherbert or two), for part two of his b'day celebs. Kereru, you, and anyone else who wants to come along, would be very welcome. We usually get there about 5pm and have a table up the stairs and to the left of the bar. They do an $8 roast among other inexpensive and delectable foodie offerings. Cheers, Janine

Hi Earthsinger (Janine) - That sounds a lovely idea (and price) for Friday night and if everything works out ok I'd love to join you for a meal and the National Services club. I belong to a club down here so would have no trouble signing in. All being well I'll be there no later than 5.30pm. If I'm not there by then it'll because of baby caring. I do hope that you have a great couple of days here in wellington and I'm sorry not to be able to catch up with you here but hopefully see you friday. We're meant to be turning on beautiful weather for you down here so you should see Wtgn at it's best. Kereru.
