Having had thirty years in auckland, bridging to the family members here
is favourable.
Finding bridging of interest requires some imput as to how.
I found a piece of journal written to my mother and stepfather that I
had not proofread or given and wrote it up more.
I wrote this letter because as it happened, I had to purchase a card from a store in Shannon because I felt obligated. Our large water container was back in the Backpackers Orakei, a very comfortable place managed by a Sole parent. The store gave us the five litre new container free, hence my choosing a card. It was your birthday not so long prior our journey and I hadnt sent you anything. Your occasion
was good to be able to have as a reason to make the purchase. After allm, you two had always sent William and I birthday cards, and there was presents to your grandson.
The sole parent manageress ran the BAckpackers very reasonabley with the late 1990's. Five dollars per shower sort of took me by surprise as even ten years further on I could find same and pay two dollars. I should have really borrowed your laundry like Jimmy, Roision and Paul Junior would as I read the piece in your letter from a long time ago where You were very happy with a very new machine.
A dollar fifty paid to put in a load of laundry was excellent priciing plus the advantage of drying also. Fees were norminal to have a shower, bath in a camping ground, swimming pools, occasional friends or relatives or an occasional hotel.
The hairdresser in Paraparam washed my hair into a rather swish modern short style, so he could train a hairdresser trainee. Eleven dollars meant a rather tidy stylish haircut with William though he didnt have a hair wash. I suppose that my hair had grown more and William's hair then was fine. You are probably a permanent fixture in the
hairdressers saloons that you have had your hairdressing done, so I would expect you to be a lot morer familiar with all that talk.
My haircut and hair wash must have been two hours. I seldom had that much attention to my head except when I was a 12 year old with
my other mothers home perms and when I had special curly hair styles
with the high school formal when 17.

Next Journal entry.
School holidays meant a different type of energy required other than formal schoolwork. Our first time staying near a River meant explorations and his report back after a look see meant there was interest there with a tree to climb and some water to collect.
Our lane north had sparked a frenzy of William climbing trees that
included the dental school roof behind our house and nearby unrenovated garage roofs. Not having the peace of mind required to discover the reason, I had thought to sheppard the interest to learn the art of scaling a nearby mountain. Since moving away, this climbing
has toned and hes just been climbing climbing frames. On that
wonderful tour there had been few trees climbed excepting this river tree and the backpackers tree . A kitten high up had necessitated that
climb. Now, that pre teen of twelve had fashioned a swing, comfortably fitted with our velvet squab and was dangling peacefully near, resting.
The day prior, the blond lass of the backpackers manager had captivated his attention as did the five moggies, kittens, dogs, pony and trampoline.
Otaki library's walls sported posters up from a school study on "Farthing Wood". The television cartoon had originated from three Farthing Wood books so there was much smiling to discover that the library had the same books up to sell and all were snapped up. Two books were read on the Tuesday and the other by the next day.
A small group of school children had put a project up "on Charlottes Webb" a popular book. A spiders web fashioned from wool included a spider per each child and spelling words from the book. We were now
away from the Wellington area where we had enjoyed both lots of grandparents. My half sister and her then not yet divorced husband, the other maternal grandparents and me
had put on a under five year olds birthday party some ten years prior.
There had also been a first time meeting up with and sharing in a
birthday tea with the other elderly grandparents. That is a welcome
memory now knowing that the grandfather passed on. My son's
Auntie Valinda, my sister also went, nine months after we had carried
on up north.

Son,
You said that your memories of train club north was of lots of old men and that a brat 21 year old student that worked part time in macdonalds
had clouded your time in the group. He had acquired plum positiions with the old men when you and I were still learning.
I've oticed in the south island, that a lot of the groups have more young men involved from highschool up. One group has a lady secretary
who would not have been an original new zealander. The family are also involved. Invers had a mother involved whose son sometimes was a meeting minutes secretary, making notes by his laptop.
The period of time spent down there catching up with cousins etc,
meant other activities also such as interviewing a gent from deceased Nana's town and taking information and specifications regards a possible Glenham - Wyndham - Edendale train extravaganza thingy. I learnt a lot.
Several years further on, home in Christchurch, I noticed , in a prominent train mag, that someone from there had written an article on what I had started in terms of ideas.
As usual there were all types in this years show. Green island wealthy types, helpful Harrys, cruizy old males and tires supportive sensitive wives. As I seated a minute on a school seat, my co seat person and I were duely surprized as several rubber tyred vehicles drove into the hall to pick up their things. One good hubby's note on his train display paid tribute with thanks to his wife, as he alluded to her support.
My altenator and battery were flat and I'd run the vehicle to a friend's place to rejuvenate it's life, so I didn't give my five dollars until after four oclock. As well as the hour remaining, I needed the atmosphere and the parennalia so as to obtain some worth. At one stage my heart being shot from stress, went haywire again when a big burley southlander went into his tirade. His Timaru truck had arrived, causing him excitement.
I remembered I had spent money on an interesting conservation bush video from 08's show to give to my son through flatmates had effectively used peer pressure to prevent him opening a new train model or watching the video, thus not experiencing the resting joys of things trains. He may watch it another time perhaps. Though I am pleased that with stage one of birthday being shared food, the second stage was
going on the trams, even if girlfriend stipulation of being back by three
cut short our rest.
I also was sad that I lost a precious friend, near my birthday owing
to the media shenaningans that were negative.

Valentine's Reason's Share
I didn't give up,
in spirit of much upset,
denied sharing our christmas
allthough each were listless.
I understood, other securities on offer
My gift now is to discover,
on a website,my loved son''s blog
giving his thoughts,as an oiled cog,
from good inspiration, I found a way
to give him, on some fine day
intereactive response, then I find
information from his mind
on christchurch trains,
an interest others made inane,
My barbed, stiring story lark.
Ignited, some pertinent remarks.
Giving me value, justifying the necessary
Spocks, connected neurons an accessory.
though with the other hand, five hours on my pc, imput,
involved reasonable negotiation, and inner thought.

the poem just pertained to the train story above,
my comments on my story,
wasn't it more healthy to be learning
how to imput to the rail system to improve
rather than collapsing from work and worrry,
splated on a couch, in film viewing.
twas a step to wishing to actively involve
back from holiday, feeling small though towy,
diminished stress, a good beginning
