Hi skipp7
A thimble collector is called a digitabulist
See http://en.allexperts.com/q/Collectibles-General-Modern-684/2008/4/Acquired-mother-thimbles.htm
Probably you have moved on from all this, but we want to get an aunt's thimble collection valued so it could be coming up for auction some time possibly.

Hi sandra56, Even though my comment was from 2008 I am still collecting and these thimbles pictured have made a nice addition to my other thimbles, of which there are only about 400. I'm always on the look out for that thimble that is just that bit different.

Ho Skip I find them quite decorative and different, they wouldn't take up much space would they
some of the heads are similar to some decanters I've seen.....very nice
