Galaxy Conquest 2569 (GC2569) is a Multi-Player Internet "On-Line Only" Economic Conquest Game of epic proportions set in the year 2569. . You don't need a high-end graphics card, a super computer or 'fighter pilot reflexes' to play GC2569 as it is more a strategy based game than it is graphical.

Imagine business in 2569. No one in business actually 'goes to work' anymore, they sit down at their computer and connect to the Galactic Cybernet and conduct trade deals all from a central point. This is GC2569.

GC2569 is played in a 3D Universe composed of 'sectors' within a galaxy being 10x10x10 or 1,000 sectors. There are (at present) 100 interconnected galaxies to play in so the total play area is 100,000 sectors. In these sectors are a myriad of planets, star ports and other areas the player navigates to make 'credits' and start building his or her own empire. Your mission is to become the undisputed financial ruler of the universe. Use espionage and sabotage against your rivals! Build industries on planets to generate a sizable income.

Play the in-game Stock Market or try your luck at Lucky Ladys Starshine Casino.

Galaxy Conquest 2569 runs under Microsoft Windows(r) and has been tested on Windows 98SE and Windows XP. It does not require the latest graphics supercard, oodles of CPU power or fighter pilot reflexes. GC2569 is more of a strategy and thinking based game, not a super graphics first person real-time shoot-em-up.

GC2569 is fully server-based, no game data is stored on the local machine. and all variables in memory are overwritten with fresh server data before being modified and sent back to the server. This, although not foolproof, alleviates most 'cheating'. When you play GC2569 you can mostly be assured you are on even ground with most players with the same amount of online time.

The data traffic associated with GC2569 is very small, most the time less than 1K (1,000) bytes of data, so it is possible to play it using a low-speed modem. But, unfortunately, like all games on the internet, the speed of the game depends on the connection from your computer to the GC2569 server, and to a point, the number of people using the GC2569 server.
