I have recently found out from an overseas friend the availability of a growing kit that includes a gel for germinating seeds and the accoutrements to carry out the process. I would like to find out if there is such a gel among gardening products for sale in NZ.I f anybody could help with information,I would be grateful. KC51 King Country

For Rooting Plants
I located Gel root ( Fun and easy way to start cuttings )it is clear and in small cups about size of pudding in cups. Then reading the fine print after buying" Is not suitable for most acid-loving plants ".
Catch - 22 the plants I was interested in to root are all acid -loving plants.

Gidday
For a hormone for starting cuttings to root, try chopping up small green willow twigs and soaking them for a couple of weeks then soak you cuttings in the tea from that overnight.
