Hullo good people, we have just picked two large bowls of gooseberries, and while we will eat the softest ones tonight, can I freeze the others????? Just as they are I mean??? I have washed, toped and tailed, so I thought i would just chuck them in the freezer.....

I had no luck freezing raw gooseberries previously, they tend to just go all squishy when thawed. How about making a gooseberry and apple flan or pie, and then freeze that? I have done that in the past when I had too many off my bush.
